Who We Are

Our Purpose

The Umoja Alumni Association is a powerful network designed to keep our Umoja Graduates connected beyond graduation and transfer. Umoja is more than a program — for many of our students, Umoja is their safe space, their village, and their family. The primary goal of the Alumni Association is to continue offering professional development, mentorship, and cultural connection after students leave campus.

The Umoja Alumni Association is open to any Umoja student who has graduated from a 2-year or 4-year Umoja Program, transferred from a 2-year Umoja Program and graduated from a 4-year institution (UC, CSU, HBCU, etc.), or earned a certification from a 2-year Umoja Program. All interested students must have a Umoja application on file or a letter of recommendation from their previous Umoja Coordinator or Counselor.
